A pesar de estar ubicada a menos de 30 minutos del principal polo tur\u00edstico del Caribe, esta ciudad\u00a0 es visitada por una escasa cantidad\u00a0 turistas, no obstante\u00a0 a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/higuey.info\/news\/category\/higuey\/mi-comunidad\/punta-cana\/\">Punta Cana<\/a><\/strong> llegan cada a\u00f1o m\u00e1s de tres millones y medio de extranjeros.<\/p>\n<div>A juicio del periodista <strong>Robert Antonio<\/strong>, el principal escollo por el que Salvale\u00f3n de Hig\u00fcey no se beneficia de la visita de turistas, es porque que la ciudad ha sido abandonada por tarjas, lucen sucios, carecen de iluminaci\u00f3n, y en algunos duermen enfermos mentales y mendigos\u00bb Indic\u00f3 el reconocido comunicador.<\/div>\n<div>Solicit\u00f3 a la alcaldesa <a href=\"https:\/\/higuey.info\/news\/?s=Karina+Aristy\"><strong>Karina Aristy<\/strong> <\/a>recuperar la plaza de la Restauraci\u00f3n, el parque Duarte, el Boulevard Ar\u00e9valo Cede\u00f1o y el monumento de <strong>Las Tres Cruces<\/strong>, \u00edconos de la ciudad, que se encuentran en un progresivo estado de deterioro.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Pidi\u00f3 adem\u00e1s a las autoridades del ayuntamiento del municipio Hig\u00fcey reparar las jardineras de las principales v\u00edas, recuperar las \u00e1reas verdes, mejorar la recogida de la basura e eluminar el centro de la ciudad.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\u00abLos principales tours operadores de Punta Cana prefieren llevar a los turistas a la<strong> isla Saona,<\/strong> a los Charcos de Damajagua, a Santo Domingo, o cualquier otro lugar que no sea Higuey, porque carece de atractivos, limpieza y seguridad\u00bb Explic\u00f3.<\/div>\n<div>El periodista Robert Antonio deplor\u00f3 el estado de abandono en que se encuentra Salvale\u00f3n de Hig\u00fcey cuyo ayuntamiento tiene para este 2018 un presupuesto de casi 400 millones de
