Las conclusiones del mismo las\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/news\/2018-08-moderate-carbohydrate-intake-health.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recoge<\/a>\u00a0MedicalXpress.<\/p>\n<p>En el estudio participaron\u00a015.428 adultos de entre 45 y 64 a\u00f1os de edad, que consumieron entre 500 y 4200 kilocalor\u00edas a diario. Los participantes respondieron sendos cuestionarios al inicio de la investigaci\u00f3n y seis a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s y en ellos precisaron qu\u00e9 tipo de alimentaci\u00f3n siguieron.\u00a0[ad id=\u00bb11330&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores estimaron la relaci\u00f3n entre el consumo de hidratos de carbono y la mortalidad tras considerar la edad, sexo, actividad f\u00edsica y educaci\u00f3n, entre otros factores. A lo largo de los 25 a\u00f1os de la investigaci\u00f3n 6.283 de los participantes fallecieron.<\/p>\n<p>Los resultados del estudio mostraron que tanto bajo (menos del 40% de calor\u00edas obtenidos de carbohidratos) como alto (m\u00e1s del 70%) consumo de gl\u00facidos conduce a\u00a0una\u00a0<strong>baja esperanza de vida<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras tanto, los cient\u00edficos descubrieron que a partir de los 50 a\u00f1os, la esperanza de vida\u00a0<strong>se alarg\u00f3 33<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00f1os de media para el grupo que presentaba un consumo moderado de carbohidratos\u00a0(entre el 50 y el 55% de las calor\u00edas): cuatro a\u00f1os m\u00e1s que aquellos con bajo consumo de carbohidratos y un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s que los de alto consumo.\u00a0[&#8212;]<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, la investigaci\u00f3n revel\u00f3 que las dietas que reemplazan a los carbohidratos por grasas y prote\u00ednas de animales como pollo, ternera o cordero est\u00e1n relacionadas con unos mayores tasas de mortalidad, mientras que el consumo de prote\u00ednas vegetales (las verduras y nueces) se vincula a una baja mortalidad.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI', arial, helvetica, roboto, 'droid sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16.0016px; font-weight: bold; background-color: #ffffff;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El consumo moderado de carbohidratos puede ser saludable y\u00a0prolongar la vida, seg\u00fan un nuevo estudio de cient\u00edficos del Brigham and Women&#8217;s Hospital (BWH) de la ciudad de Boston (estado de Massachusetts, EE.UU.) publicado el pasado jueves.
