{"id":14168,"date":"2019-12-20T22:41:16","date_gmt":"2019-12-20T22:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/higuey.info\/news\/news\/?p=14168"},"modified":"2019-12-20T22:41:16","modified_gmt":"2019-12-20T22:41:16","slug":"conmemoran-en-santiago-la-historica-batalla-del-hotel-matum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/higuey.info\/news\/conmemoran-en-santiago-la-historica-batalla-del-hotel-matum\/","title":{"rendered":"Conmemoran en Santiago la hist\u00f3rica Batalla del Hotel Matum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><b>Por Joan Mat\u00edas<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><u><a href=\"mailto:joanmatiasalmonte@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">joanmatiasalmonte@gmail.com<\/a><\/u><\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0\/ 829-572-1111<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Santiago, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana<\/strong>&#8211; Con un concurrido y emotivo acto fue conmemorado en esta ciudad coraz\u00f3n el 54 aniversario de la hist\u00f3rica <strong>Batalla del Hotel Matum<\/strong> acontecida en 1965, donde le rindieron homenaje a los combatientes de esa gesta que marc\u00f3 un antes y un despu\u00e9s en nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"ltr\">Un batall\u00f3n del Ej\u00e9rcito le rindi\u00f3 los correspondientes honores militares a los h\u00e9roes y m\u00e1rtires de la peripecia llamada tambi\u00e9n <strong>Guerra de Abril<\/strong>, en la que se ped\u00eda el retorno al gobierno democr\u00e1tico del profesor<strong> Juan Bosch<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"ltr\">Al acto asistieron miembros de distintas entidades, como <strong>Efem\u00e9rides Patria<\/strong>, las Fundaciones <strong>Francisco Alberto Caama\u00f1o<\/strong>, General <strong>Juan Mar\u00eda Lora Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, de Hombres Rana y otras instituciones que mantienen vivo el recuerdo de aquella gesta hist\u00f3rica, en la que participaron inmortales como <strong>Am\u00edn Abel Hasbun<\/strong>, <strong>Maximiliano G\u00f3mez<\/strong> \u2013<strong>El Moreno<\/strong>-, <strong>Piky Lora<\/strong>, <strong>Hilda Grateraux, Cayetano Rodr\u00edguez del Prado, Otto Morales, Asdrubal Dom\u00ednguez<\/strong>, entre otros. [ad id=\u00bb11330&#8243;]<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"ltr\">Adem\u00e1s estuvieron presentes excombatientes constitucionalistas que enfrentaron las tropas entreguistas de las Fuerzas Armadas que ten\u00edan a <strong>Elias Wessin y Wessin<\/strong> a la cabeza y que serv\u00edan a los intereses de los interventores norteamericanos en contra de la Patria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"ltr\">En el acto fueron entonadas las notas de los himnos Nacional y de la Revoluci\u00f3n de Abril.
