Pet\u00e1n hab\u00eda instalado en 1943 la emisora La Voz del Yuna, en Bonao, que en 1946 traslad\u00f3 a la capital (entonces Ciudad Trujillo) y en 1952, al incorporarle la televisi\u00f3n pas\u00f3 a identificarse como La Voz Dominicana en el llamado Palacio Radiotelevisor, donde debutaron j\u00f3venes que m\u00e1s adelante se convirtieron en artistas de la m\u00fasica y el teatro como como Elenita Santos, Bullumba Landestoy y Monina Sol\u00e1, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>El dictador Trujillo no escatim\u00f3 recursos para que Rep\u00fablica Dominicana se convirtiera en la tercera naci\u00f3n de Am\u00e9rica Latina, despu\u00e9s de M\u00e9xico y Cuba, con una planta de televisi\u00f3n que desde 1952 ha pasado por muchas etapas.<\/p>\n<p>En 1965 el canal oficial pas\u00f3 a llamarse Radio Televisi\u00f3n Dominicana (RTVD); despu\u00e9s, Televisi\u00f3n Dominicana, y en pocos a\u00f1os fue cambiado para retornar al de RTVD.<\/p>\n<p>El 29 de julio de 2003, por ley, el canal 4 y sus emisoras de radio (Quisqueya FM, Dominicana FM y Santo Domingo AM) pasaron a identificarse como Corporaci\u00f3n Estatal de Radio y Televisi\u00f3n (CERTV), nombre que a\u00fan conserva.<\/p>\n<p>El empresariado dominicano comenz\u00f3 a incursionar en la televisi\u00f3n privada a partir de 1959 cuando el ingeniero Pedro Pablo Bonilla inaugura en el canal 7, tambi\u00e9n en blanco y negro, Radio HIN Televisi\u00f3n (Rahintel), hoy Antena Latina.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Color Visi\u00f3n<\/strong>. Fundada el 25 de julio de 1968 por la familia Berm\u00fadez, fue la tercera empresa de televisi\u00f3n instalada en el pa\u00eds, y la primera a color. Surgi\u00f3 en Santiago y trasladada a Santo Domingo en 1971.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canal 13<\/strong>. En 1972, Jos\u00e9 Semorile puso en el aire en la capital la se\u00f1al de Tele Inde, pionera de UHF, porque inici\u00f3 sus transmisiones en el canal 30. En 1980 la Direcci\u00f3n General de Telecomunicaciones autoriz\u00f3 a Tele Inde el uso del canal 13 (hoy Telecentro).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Telesistema<\/strong>. El quinto canal de televisi\u00f3n instalado en el pa\u00eds fue Telesistema, ideado por el radiodifusor Waldo Pons. Inicia sus transmisiones formales en el canal 11 en 1978.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teleantillas.<\/strong> Tras los azotes del cicl\u00f3n David en 1979, la familia Ornes encendi\u00f3 los transmisores del canal 2, para entonces lo m\u00e1s innovador.<\/p>\n<p>La etapa de expansi\u00f3n y proliferaci\u00f3n de la televisi\u00f3n en RD inici\u00f3 con la llegada de la empresa Telecable Nacional en 1982.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Voz del Yuna<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Donde todo comenz\u00f3<\/strong><br \/>\nEn 1943, Jos\u00e9 Arismendy Trujillo Molina conocido como \u201cPet\u00e1n\u201d y hermano del dictador Rafael L. Trujillo, fund\u00f3 en Bonao una emisora de radio ejemplar en Am\u00e9rica llamada La Voz del Yuna, la misma que en 1946 fue trasladada a Ciudad Trujillo (la capital).
