The victim is Fraspagnuolo Pascal Hugo Mathieu and he was 28 years old, according to his passport.
According to the information offered by an agent of the Specialized Body in Tourist Security (Cestur), Hugo Mathieu bathed on the beach when he was struck by lightning.
The event occurred on the route from Casa Blanca to Punta Poppy Beach.

SAMANÁ.- Un ressortissant français est mort mercredi lorsqu’il a été frappé par la foudre sur une plage de la municipalité de Las Terrenas à Samaná.
La victime est Fraspagnuolo Pascal Hugo Mathieu et il avait 28 ans, selon son passeport.
