La Policía reportó este lunes la muerte de turista canadiense ayer al caer de un cuarto piso de un hotel donde se hospedaba, junto su familia desde el pasado 20 del mes en curso, en la región este del país.
El fallecido fue identificado como Rodeney David Mackezie, de 60 años, quien recibió fracturas múltiples en miembros inferiores y traumas en tórax y el cráneo, según certificó el médico legista actuante, tras caer del cuanto piso, donde se encontraba hospedada su hija, Triana Ann Elisabeth Grahan y su yerno, Jodey Douglas Graha.
El informe preliminar indica que el turista fue encontrado sangrando por un empleado a eso de las 11: 11 de la noche, frente al elevador de la habitación 1152, detalló el gerente de seguridad del hotel a los agentes investigadores. La Policía en su nota enviada a este diario no identifica el hotel donde se registró el hecho.
La esposa del muerto dijo a las autoridades que ella y su esposo se encontraban ingiriendo alcohol en su habitación y que aproximadamente a las nueve de la noche ambos se acostaron, y tras despertarse a las 12:30 de la noche, se percató de que su pareja no estaba en la cama y que la puerta estaba abierta por lo que salió al pasillo del hotel donde le informaron lo sucedido.
Además, la hija del fallecido y su esposo dijeron a los investigadores que ellos no se percataron de la presencia de su pariente frente a su habitación debido a que se encontraban durmiendo.
El cadáver fue enviado al Instituto Nacional de Patología Forense para los fines de necropsia mandatarios.
